Opportunity Classes

Join an Opportunity Class:

Opportunity Classes meet weekly and consist of a 12-week curriculum that covers everything from personal finance to job readiness to health. Classes provide the skills and resources to transition into and sustain self-sufficiency and permanent housing. Finally find the answers to your questions:

How can I set attainable goals?

How can I get support in my job search?

How can I budget for the things I need and want?

How can I build my credit?

Where can I get affordable healthcare?

How can I do more than just get by?

What will I gain?

Skills

Support

Learn the components of a successful job search, money management and budgeting strategies that work, and effective ways to build your credit. Your fellow classmates are a circle of support for you as you strive to reach the goals you set during the class.

How do I join?

The training is free and open to all. We host classes in Chapel Hill and Durham, often on-site with community partners. If you think your neighborhood, organization, or association would benefit from a CEF Opportunity Class, please contact us about hosting an upcoming course.
